Manjula, an IAS officer from Batch 2002 had earlier held the posts of Director, Municipal Administration; District Collector, Chikkaballapur; CEO, Zilla Panchayath, Mysuru.

India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has announced the appointment of Vijay Dutt as the General Manager for its flagship hotel The Ashok, New Delhi. He is known for his excellent leadership skills, innovative. Thinking and creative approach. With 28 years of extensive experience, he brings a wealth of industry knowledge in the luxury hotel segment. In his previous role he held Senior Management positions as General Manager of Lalitha Mahal Palace, Mysore; Resident Manager of The Ashok, New Delhi and Corporate Marketing where he led the operation teams to drive sales and service to excellence.


With over 8 years of work experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Siddharth Sathe appointed as a new Hotel Manager for Westin Gurgaon. His key expertise lies in maintaining excellent guest relations along with maximizing employee productivity and improving operational efficiencies. He will be supervising the growth and implementation of operational plans as well as programs to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential ensuring that the property is seen as being the principle innovator in the market place and the Hotel of Choice.

Mohd Hafiz Hashim recently took over as the Director, Tourism Malaysia, Mumbai. Malaysia is expected to attract 1 million Indian tourists this year and Hafiz's main responsibilities include developing the Western India market targeting especially the tier II and III towns to reach these numbers. Hafiz is also planning to promote niche products such as self-drive, luxury travel, eco-tourism, sports tourism, business travel, etc. to reach out to special interest segments of the Indian traveller. In his earlier roles, he has served Tourism Malaysia offices in Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.


Sumit Gogia joins Hyatt Regency Delhi as Director of Events with over 15 years of experience. He started his career in the year 2000 as a Food & Beverage Attendant at the Grand Hyatt Delhi followed by Imperial, New Delhi as Assistant Manager- Food & Beverage and The Grand, New Delhi as Convention Sales Manager. In 2006, Gogia joined Shangri-La, New Delhi as Events Manager and subsequently got promoted to Assistant Director — Events in July 2007, post that in the April of 2008 he was promoted as Director of Events.

JW Marriott Chandigarh has announced the appointment of Ranjana Pal as the new Director of Human Resource to its team. She will be responsible for strategic planning which includes implementation of plans for aligning HR with the core business, formulating and implementing HR policies, recruitment and selection, training and development i.e. succession planning and facilitating training programmes based on training needs and performance appraisal. Ranjana is known for achieving results even in challenging environments and a proof to that is her last role at JW Marriott Mussoorie.
